Kids Natural Dye Workshop

Join us at Still Wind Farms for a playful morning of steam dyeing with marigolds! Each child will create their own golden-dyed shirt using natural petals and a little steam magic.

✨ A bright and simple intro to natural dyes for kids! You’ll learn the process of mordanting with soymilk, steam dyeing with flowers, and be able to replicate the entire process at home. Each kid will go home with their very own steam dyed shirt!

  • Marigold Steam Dye Tote

    Learn the basics of natural steam dyeing while creating your own one-of-a-kind marigold tote. Steam dyeing uses heat and moisture to transfer color and shape directly from plant materials—no chemicals, just nature, fabric, and steam. All materials provided.

  • Seamless Woven Pouch

    Join us for a cozy night in Oracle weaving your very own DIY seamless pouch. You’ll learn all the skills and have all the tools to be able to make another at home!

    Cost: $35

  • Avocado Dyed Tote

    This is a beginners class on natural dyes. You’ll learn the pre treatment process and dye process for how to dye your own fabric, and walk away with your own avocado dyed tote!

    Cost: $45

  • Naturally Dyed Socks

    This is a cousin course to the avocado dyed tote. You will learn the process of naturally dyeing cotton fabric, and walk away with your own yellow onion skin dyed socks.
